    Outdoor Wedding
Oh what a wonderful day it would be, a beautiful sunny garden, a big white marquee adorned with lilies and trinkets, music, dancing all sounds beautiful. Hiring a marquee for the day is a really great idea if you live in a place where the weather permits. If not I wouldn’t take the chance as a mud ridden lawn with cold wet guests doesn’t sound as romantic. Also keep in mind the hiring of cutlery, crockery, heating, lights, toilets etc.all adds up.

    Marriage
There is also the legal aspects of marriage that are important as well as the spiritual, make sure you have all your legal requirements met and all your paper work in place well in advance of the wedding date, get all this out of the way first and this leaves plenty of time to concentrate on the more important enjoyable things.

    Budget
Every wedding has a budget be it a no hold bar white wedding extravaganza or a low-key smaller affair both can be a beautiful fun day for everyone. There are many ways to cut the cost on the big day without compromising on style and atmosphere. You can do a lot of the organizing yourself; friends and family are always there to help with things like the video camera and helping to drive guests from the ceremony to the after party.

    Cake
This is another important feature; as the cake will appear in the “cutting of the cake” photograph another staple of the wedding album. The flowers and bridesmaids out fits will also influence the style and color of the cake you do not have to settle for fruitcake though as there are endless fillings to choose from, this can also double as desert if you are on a tight budget.

    Flowers
The bridesmaid’s outfits will set the trend for the colors of the flowers, so keep this in mind when choosing the color theme. These can range from the most flamboyant bouquet to the simplest white lilies. The most important being the bride’s bouquets as this will feature in most of the wedding photographs so don’t skimp on this.

    DAY 1: ARRIVE ARUSHA
Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met by our crew and transferred to your accommodation.
Arusha is located in the northern highlands of Tanzania, beneath the twin peaks of Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro. The town is the safari capital of the world and is known as the “Geneva of Africa”. From its two- lane streets, the dramatic crater of Mt. Meru stands over the town like a majestic sentinel.

Arusha’s ideal location near the major national parks and it’s highland setting make it a peaceful idyll of relaxation before the start of an exciting journey. Today, Arusha is one of the country’s most prosperous towns. The site for the United Nations Criminal Tribunal on the Rwandan genocide and the headquarters for the Tripartite commission for East African Co-operation, Arusha is a major centre of Tanzanian diplomacy and international relations.

    Duration 1 Night
    Accommodation : Serena Mountain Village

DAY 2 : ARUSHA TO LAKE MANYARA
After breakfast at your lodge, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, one of the Rift Valley’s numerous alkaline lakes, which apart from its abundant bird life, is renowned for its large elephant and buffalo population, tree climbing lions and flamingos. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. This afternoon, enjoy a game drive until sunset.
The alkaline soda of Lake Manyara is home to an incredible array of bird life that thrives on its brackish waters. Pink flamingo stoop and graze by the thousands, colourful specks against the grey minerals of the lakeshore.

Yellow-billed storks swoop and corkscrew on thermal winds rising up from the escarpment, and herons flap their wings against the sun-drenched sky. Even reluctant bird-watchers will find something to watch and marvel at within the national park. Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions are another reason to pay this park a visit. The only kind of their species in the world, they make the ancient mahogany and elegant acacias their home during the rainy season, and are a well-known but rather rare feature of the northern park. In addition to the lions, the national park is also home to the largest concentration of baboons anywhere in the world – a fact that makes for interesting game viewing of large families of the primates.

DAY 3: LAKE MANYARA TO NGORONGORO
Your day starts with a drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Arrive for lunch with afternoon at leisure.

Ngorongoro Crater / Ngorongoro Conservation Area – This vast protected area stretches from Lake Natron (the breeding ground for East Africa’s flamingos) in the northeast, to Lake Enyasi in the south, and Lake Manyara to the east. Eight million years ago, the Ngorongoro Crater was an active volcano. However, its cone collapsed, forming the crater that is 610 meters deep, 20 kilometers in diameter, and covers an area of 311 sq. km. Spectacular as it is, the crater accounts for just a tenth of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The crater is home to many species of wild game and birds. With the exception of impala and topi (due to fierce competition with the wildebeest) and the giraffe (because there is not much to eat at tree level), almost every species of African plains mammal lives in the crater.

Some of these species includes the endangered black rhino, and the densest population of predators in Africa. A strange thing is that the crater elephants are mainly bulls. The bird life, which includes the flamingo, is mainly seasonal, and is also affected by the ratio of soda to fresh water in Lake Magadi on the crater floor. Views from the rim of the crater are sensational. On the crater floor, grassland blends into swamps, lakes, rivers, woodland and mountains. You can descend to the floor of the crater in a four-wheel drive vehicle. Only 4WD vehicles are allowed into the crater and game rangers are compulsory for all.

    DAY 4: NGORONGORO CRATER

Meal Plan Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

DAY 5 : NGORONGORO TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After an early breakfast depart for Olduvai Gorge, the site where Mary Leaky discovered fossils of early man. You will then drive to the Serengeti, which is a stage for the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth, the annual migration (between July and October). A picnic lunch will be provided at a picturesque site. Tour the park en-route to the lodge, arriving for dinner.

    Duration 2 Nights

DAY 6 : SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Spend the morning and afternoon exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti, observing animal and bird life in their natural habitat. Covering an area of 14,763 square kilometers, equal in size to Northern Ireland, the world famous Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest park, and one of the world’s last great wildlife refuges. It is contiguous with Kenya’s Maasai Mara Game Reserve and stretches as far as Lake Victoria to the West.

The park’s name comes from the Maasai word Siringet, meaning “endless plains”. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plain game in Africa, including more than three million large mammals. The Serengeti is the sanctuary of an estimated four million different animals and birds. The park is famous for its rocky outcrops or kopjes and its lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena sightings. The Serengeti features a number of seasonal rivers where Africa’s largest crocodiles are to be found. Birdlife in the Serengeti is prolific, with Yellow throated sand grouse, ostrich, Secretary bird, Crowned plover and Kori bustard are most frequently seen.

The animals roam the park freely and in the spectacular migrations, huge herds of wild animals move to other areas of the park in search of greener grazing grounds (requiring over 4,000 tons of grass each day) and water. Here, the famous army of grazers begins its legendary trek in search of new grazing lands. Two World Heritage Sites and two Biosphere Reserve have been established within the Serengeti region.

The Serengeti’s unique ecosystem has inspired writers, filmmakers and numerous photographers and scientists. Its ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth with the features of climate, vegetation and fauna barely changing in the past million years.
